Marine Le Pen, convicted but not jailed, is calling out the justice system as a political tool—mirroring Trump’s “witch hunt” line. The question arises: if she’s truly guilty, why wasn’t she jailed? And if not, why is she being blocked from running?

THE MODERN POLITICAL GUILLOTINE—BUT WITHOUT THE BLADE

Let’s cut the pretence: if Marine Le Pen had truly committed a crime that warranted a conviction, she’d be behind bars. But no—what she got was the coward’s verdict: “You’re guilty, but not that guilty.” Just guilty enough to conveniently silence her. This isn’t justice; it’s a state-sanctioned performance. They didn’t want her silenced because of any real threat to democracy. They wanted her gone because she’s popular, disruptive, and refuses to bend the knee. They fear her because the people listen to her. And in France, when the system can’t kill the message, it smears the messenger.

So let’s stop pretending this is about law and order. This is about control. And the people cheering her fall? They’re either blissfully blind or happy serfs for a system that plays judge, jury, and executioner—just not with swords anymore. No, today’s guillotine comes wrapped in courtroom decorum and headlines about “convictions.” The real crime is not whatever they accused her of—it’s the abuse of the justice system to kneecap opponents without having the guts to face them in a real fight. That’s not democracy. That’s tyranny in a tailored robe.
