On the eve of Orthodox Easter, Vladimir Putin extended a holy olive branch—dripping in diesel and blood—to Ukraine. A ceasefire, he says, in honor of the resurrection. How touching. Nothing says divine compassion quite like a man who’s shelled maternity wards suddenly rediscovering his inner choirboy. But let’s not mistake this for a revelation—it’s more like a repositioning. A tactical timeout, cloaked in incense and hypocrisy.

🕊️ Thou Shalt Not Kill… Until Monday

Is it a gesture of faith, or a logistical tea break while the tanks get a tune-up? Maybe Vlad just needs a breather to move his pieces across the board—Easter’s just the PR cover. After all, if Caesar could co-opt religion for power, why not a KGB veteran with messiah delusions?

“Peace, peace,” he declares, while his fingers trace military maps and his drones buzz overhead like unholy seraphim. He’s less Prince of Peace and more Discount Antichrist with a press team. Don’t be fooled by the robes and candles—this ceasefire might be less about the resurrection of Christ, and more about the resurrection of Russian logistics.

Because nothing quite screams sacred pause like an artillery unit backing off just long enough to reload.
