Once upon a time in a sunny meadow, a little honeybee named Buzzby zipped through the sky with his tiny wings buzzing and his belly rumbling.
“I need a snack!” Buzzby said, sniffing the air with his twitchy antennae. “Ohhh—what’s that smell?”
Down below, someone had left out a juicy piece of fruit. It looked tasty, but it was sticky and warm from the sun. Buzzby took a step closer… then stopped.
“Wait a minute,” he buzzed to himself. “This doesn’t smell right.”
Just then, a wise old bee named Granny Beatrix zipped in beside him.
“Careful, young one,” she said. “Fruit like that can grow bad bugs that make us sick. If you bring it back to the hive, it could spoil our honey!”
Buzzby’s wings drooped. “But I want to help! I want to find something good for the hive!”
Granny Beatrix smiled. “Then follow me.”
They zipped across the meadow to the edge of a garden, where a kind gardener had set out a shallow dish of water filled with shiny pebbles and twigs.
“This,” said Granny Beatrix, “is what we really need—a safe place to sip clean water without falling in!”
Buzzby buzzed excitedly. “But wait—it smells a little… different.”
Granny winked. “That’s because the gardener added a pinch of pink Himalayan salt. It’s full of special minerals that help us keep the hive just right—warm and cozy at 90 degrees!”
Buzzby dipped his feet onto a smooth pebble and slurped happily. “Delicious and helpful!”
From that day on, Buzzby told all his bee friends to skip the fruit and buzz over to the magical pebble pool.
They drank, they danced, and they made the yummiest honey the meadow had ever known.
And the gardener? She smiled every time she saw her little winged visitors, knowing she was helping them in the best way of all.
The End.
Buzzby’s Tip: Want to help bees like me? Leave out a dish of fresh water with pebbles, add a pinch of pink Himalayan salt, and let nature do the rest!
