Example of the Spark

This piece began not with words, but with an image. The intricate drawing—an explosion of geometric forms and symbols—became the seed of a story. At its heart is a bumblebee, seemingly small and whimsical, yet portrayed as vital to the structure of existence.

From this image emerged The Birth, a spoken word poem about the creation of the universe and the mysterious role of the bumblebee in spreading life. The drawing came first, and the words followed—a perfect example of how imagination can flow in reverse, where the visual gives birth to the verbal.

The bumblebee is not just a creature, but a cosmic metaphor: a bringer of balance, motion, and meaning. This is imagination in its purest form—letting intuition guide creation, and allowing meaning to rise from pattern, instinct, and wonder.

THE BIRTH

I was born of nothing, and nothing ever was. I think if there was nothing, we wouldn’t have a cause. The dreams—they came from nowhere, a funny place to be. I think I heard it coming that sunny bumblebee.

I dream of things that could have been, and things I might have seen. What mixed-up thoughts of times gone by—and nothing. And then it happened: a bang, a flash, and then a blast. I flew into the sky so fast.

Now I’m on a journey, a journey to somewhere. I wonder where I’m going, and when I will get there. Time flies by as we go fast. I think I’m looking at the past. My dreams are gone—I think we’re here. We’ve travelled through the stratosphere.

Sometimes we try to understand, and what we seek is in our hand. The darkness gone, the light is near—we’ve travelled through the stratosphere. There is no God, there’s only light—and you can’t see him in the night. But there’s something else that we can’t see. I think…it is the bumblebee.

With darkness gone, the light will shine—if only we could see through time. I know he’s here. I know he’s near. He’s travelled through the stratosphere.
