🇬🇧⚔️Keir Starmer is now on a mission to “reclaim the flag” from the far-Right, boldly declaring that the St George’s Cross and Union Jack are for everyone. Noble words, sure, but let’s be honest—he wouldn’t need to reclaim it if he hadn’t practically left it outside on bin day in the first place. Turns out, when you don’t wave it, someone else will. And spoiler alert: the far-Right were only too happy to pick it up, march with it, and wrap themselves in it like bargain-bin superheroes.

🚩 Pass the Parcel, Patriot Edition

Starmer’s revelation is basically: “Oh, wait—you mean if I don’t use national symbols, other people might?” Welcome to politics, Sherlock. For years, Labour treated flags like embarrassing relatives at a wedding—best left unmentioned, lest someone mistake pride for nationalism. Meanwhile, the far-Right swooped in and transformed bunting into branding.

Now Starmer wants it back, but good luck reclaiming the narrative when your first act was to pretend the flag was radioactive. Reclaiming it now feels less like strength and more like guilt shopping. Imagine trying to repossess your childhood teddy bear from the neighbour’s kid—awkward, undignified, and about three birthdays too late.

🔥 Challenges 🔥

Is Starmer’s flag grab a masterstroke in patriotic rehabilitation, or a cringe attempt to cosplay Churchill with focus-grouped bunting? Can Labour ever own national pride again—or will they forever look like guests at their own barbecue, trying too hard with the apron?
