The new genius idea from the powers that be: pay them £100 a week to move out of the hotels we already pay for. Yes, we’re now funding check-ins and check-outs — all on your dime.
Because apparently, when common sense left the building, it took the Home Office with it.

Here’s the plan: Labour will trial a scheme that gives £100 per week to asylum seekers who agree to live with friends or family rather than staying in taxpayer-funded hotels. In other words, they’re being paid to do what most people would do anyway if it meant not living out of a suitcase in a Travelodge.
So let’s get this straight:
- We pay for them to come here.
- We pay for them to stay.
- Now we pay them to go… somewhere else?

💸 The Price of Virtue Signalling
This isn’t compassion. This is bureaucratic bribery. We’re incentivising people to get off benefits that shouldn’t have existed in the first place. It’s like setting your own house on fire and handing the arsonist a gift card to leave early.
Meanwhile, British veterans sleep on benches. Councils are collapsing under housing shortages. And families who’ve paid into the system their whole lives can’t even get on a waiting list, let alone into a hotel.
But sure, let’s keep chucking £100 notes at the problem and calling it “progress.”

This isn’t a left vs right issue anymore — it’s a sanity vs stupidity issue. At what point do we admit that the system isn’t broken, it’s built this way?
And now, we’re being told this will “reduce the burden on the taxpayer.” Only in politics can paying people more money be sold as a cost-saving measure. Try that logic with your mortgage lender and see how far you get.
