Because nothing says “fiscal responsibility” like a private jet to a football match while lecturing young people about work ethic.

💸 Taxpayer-Funded Goal Kick or Just Political Own Goal?

Sir Keir Starmer—man of the people, defender of the working class, champion of belt-tightening Britain—hopped on a £60,000 private jet with his wife and a starting eleven of Downing Street officials to watch the Lionesses at the Euros final.

Yes, while you were dodging potholes and choosing between rent or groceries, the Prime Minister was taking to the skies in luxury, all charged to you. Champagne economy. Climate hypocrisy. Team photo in the aisle.

And the spin? Oh, it’s golden:

“It was about supporting our national team.”

Sure. But apparently, Ryanair doesn’t scream “leadership optics” in quite the same way.

Meanwhile, Starmer’s been sharpening his rhetoric on benefit claimants—particularly young people. If you’re under 25 and on Universal Credit, you’re now public enemy number one. “Get to work,” he says. “No more handouts,” he declares.

But here’s a question: what message does it send when the very same government crying poor turns around and drops sixty grand on a glorified photo op?

You can’t lecture the public about hard graft while joyriding to stadium seats that cost more than a nurse’s yearly commute. You can’t cry “value for money” with one hand and swipe the state debit card with the other. This isn’t leadership. It’s luxury cosplay with a football scarf.

🚨 Challenges🚨

Is this “showing up for the nation” or just another elite freebie masked as duty? Would you have picked up that tab? What would £60k have done in your local hospital, school, or job centre? Drop your thoughts in the blog comments. 👇💬
