🔁💄Twenty-five shiny new Labour MPs marched into Parliament with progressive promises and soft-focus manifestos. And yet, when it came to supporting the long-suffering WASPI (Women Against State Pension Inequality) campaigners—women robbed of their retirement rights by stealth—they collectively performed the political equivalent of a disappearing act. Poof. No motion. No spine. Just a flurry of tweets about “listening to communities” while ignoring a generation of women who were very loudly telling them exactly what needed fixing.

🕳️ Meet the Red Wall of Silence on Pension Injustice

Imagine being part of a movement that’s campaigned for years—not for yachts, not for tax cuts, not even for free gin—but simply for the pension they were promised. Now imagine watching Labour, the so-called party of the working class, ghost them like a dodgy Tinder date after promising the moon.

Here’s the roster of red-rosetted rookies who took their seats… and then promptly took a vow of silence:

  • Patricia Ferguson (Glasgow West) 🧊
  • David Baines (St Helens North) 🧊
  • Jon Trickett (Normanton and Hemsworth) 🧊
  • David Chadwick (Brecon, Radnor & Cwm Tawe) 🧊
  • Olivia Blake (Sheffield Hallam) 🧊
  • Jo Platt (Leigh and Atherton) 🧊
  • Warinder Juss (Wolverhampton West) 🧊
  • Yasmin Qureshi (Bolton South & Walkden) 🧊
  • Emma Lewell (South Shields) 🧊
  • Iqbal Mohamed (Dewsbury and Batley) 🧊
  • Amanda Hack (North West Leicestershire) 🧊
  • Ayoub Khan (Birmingham ??) 🧊
  • Cat Smith (Lancaster and Wyre) 🧊
  • Adam Dance (Yeovil) 🧊
  • Mohammed Yasin (Bedford) 🧊
  • Brian Leishman (Alloa & Grangemouth) 🧊
  • Mary Kelly Foy (City of Durham) 🧊
  • Josh Newbury (Cannock Chase) 🧊
  • Lillian Jones (Kilmarnock & Loudoun) 🧊
  • Seamus Logan (Aberdeenshire North & Moray East) 🧊
  • Richard Burgon (Leeds East) 🧊
  • Simon Opher (Stroud) 🧊
  • Sarah Gibson (Chippenham) 🧊
  • Liz Jarvis (Eastleigh) 🧊
  • Anna Gelderd (South East Cornwall) 🧊
  • Ruth Jones (Newport West & Islwyn) 🧊

So much fresh energy. So little actual effort.

It’s hard to tell what’s more offensive: the betrayal, or the bland press releases they’ll drop about “fiscal constraints” while conveniently forgetting the fiscal black hole women aged 60–66 were shoved into. But hey, at least we’re getting more gender-balanced indifference.
