And let’s not forget the delicious irony: the Chagos arrangement being discussed is already framed as “transfer sovereignty to Mauritius, but keep Diego Garcia via a long lease,” aka “decolonisation, but make it runway-length.” Yet now it’s being treated like a coupon code for a future bombing campaign. 🧾✈️
