Kristie Higgs, fired in 2019 for Facebook posts opposing LGBT+ education in primary schools, has just won her Court of Appeal case, with judges ruling her previous legal treatment was “unlawfully discriminatory.” She claims victory for free speech.
IF FREE SPEECH OFFENDS YOU, YOU’RE THE PROBLEM
Ah, the sweet, forbidden nectar of irony—preach “tolerance” loud enough and eventually you’ll find yourself silencing everyone who dares disagree. Kristie Higgs didn’t torch a rainbow flag, she posted on her personal Facebook to a hundred friends—most people get cancelled for less. And for that, she was professionally obliterated, treated like a heretic in a secular inquisition. But guess what? The court finally called it what it was: ideological discrimination dressed up as moral superiority.
Let’s be honest: the modern “inclusive” agenda is inclusive only if you pledge full allegiance. Disagree? Then it’s off with your job, off with your dignity, and off to re-education. Higgs didn’t scream hate; she voiced her worldview—a worldview, mind you, shared by a couple billion people globally. And still, she was labelled a threat. So yes, this is a win for free speech. It’s also a reminder that freedom means protecting the views you don’t like, or it means absolutely nothing.
