💷🤡Keir Starmer wants you to believe that Brexit broke the bank, Farage broke the country, and your tax bill was delivered by a bloke in a Union Jack waistcoat shouting about sovereignty. Spoiler alert: no one’s buying it.
🤔 Farage, The Shadow Chancellor of… Everything?
Let’s get this straight: Nigel Farage has never held power, never sat in Cabinet, and couldn’t pass a Budget if you glued it to a pint glass. And yet somehow, he’s now being blamed for the fiscal failures of both the Conservative and Labour parties?
That’s not just deflection — that’s Olympic-level gaslighting with a side of economic illiteracy.
Starmer’s message, boiled down, is this:
👉 “We’ve had two ruling parties with dozens of chancellors, full access to the Bank of England, and decades in government… but actually it was that guy doing reaction videos on GB News that wrecked the economy.”
It’s so desperate it’s almost sweet.
If we follow Starmer’s logic, then what he’s really admitting is that every Tory and Labour Chancellor since 2016 has been so financially clueless, so allergic to responsibility, that they needed Brussels — or Farage — to do the sums for them. That’s not a Brexit problem. That’s a “our politicians couldn’t run a bake sale” problem.
Europe didn’t cause British incompetence. It just covered it up with red tape, subsidies, and someone else’s spreadsheet. Now the curtain’s pulled back, and the same MPs who nodded through trillion-pound budgets can’t find the decimal point without a European commissioner to hold their hand.
So here we are: national debt through the roof, services collapsing, and instead of owning the mess, Labour’s trying to pin the whole thing on a bloke who’s spent more time on fishing boats than in Parliament.
Farage may be a chaos agent — but blaming him for Labour and Tory economic failure is like blaming your ex for burning the toast when they weren’t even in the kitchen.
🧯 Challenges 🧯
Do we seriously believe that Brexit or Farage are responsible for everything going wrong with our economy? Or are our leaders just looking for the next scapegoat in a barrel of bad decisions?
Is Starmer revealing more about his party’s dependency than Farage’s influence?
