We’re told there are now around 20,000 foreign criminals in the UK who have avoided deportation.

The Government promises tougher action.

The public wonders why it has taken so long.

Then again, perhaps we’re looking at this all wrong.

If some of our own politicians are criminals and can survive scandal after scandal, broken promises, investigations and endless U-turns…

…maybe having a criminal record is becoming an unofficial qualification for public life.

Imagine the job advert:

ā€œExperience in avoiding consequences preferred. Accountability optional. Thick skin essential.ā€

No wonder deportations are proving difficult.

We’d be sending away some of the country’s most experienced practitioners.

Perhaps Westminster is less a Parliament…

…and more a rehabilitation programme with excellent expenses.

Challenge

Should foreign criminals who have completed their sentences be deported wherever legally possible, or are there circumstances where they should remain?

Get rid of them and their extended families too.
If their countries of origin won’t take them, then declare them as enemy states and cut off all aid, trade and diplomatic links permanently.
    Good result all round.
The only immigrants that the UK wants or needs are those that will not receive benefits and can command an income of at least £100k/yr per family.
