While the cameras zoom in on every penny, every donation, and every headline surrounding Nigel Farage, another political story seems to be gliding along with remarkably little turbulence. If media attention is the great equaliser, some politicians appear to be getting first-class treatment while others are permanently stuck in the interrogation lounge. π₯βοΈ
π Look Over There! Nothing to See Hereβ¦
Watching some political interviews lately feels less like journalism and more like a magic show. πͺ
βDonβt look over hereβlook over there!β
One politician is grilled until the studio lights nearly melt the furniture, while another strolls through interviews as if theyβve been handed a VIP pass and complimentary refreshments. πΏ
Many viewers are asking why certain figures face relentless scrutiny over finances, while others appear to escape equally tough questioning on issues that matter to the public. Whether itβs policy decisions, local governance, or accountability, shouldnβt the same standards apply to everyone?
If politicians want our votes, they should also expect our questions. Lots of them.
Accountability isnβt supposed to depend on party colour, media popularity, or whoβs currently fashionable in Westminster. A journalistβs job isnβt to protect reputationsβitβs to challenge power wherever it sits. π
When one politician gets a forensic examination and another seems to receive the βcarry on, nothing to answer hereβ treatment, people inevitably start wondering whether the scales are balanced at all.
Because democracy doesnβt need cheerleadersβit needs watchdogs. πβοΈ

Do you think todayβs media applies the same level of scrutiny to every politician, regardless of party? Or are some figures getting an easier ride while others dominate the headlines? π€π¬
