🚨📖The Home Office has decided that people arriving in Britain need clearer instructions about the laws and expected behaviour surrounding violence against women and girls. Its own 2026 action plan says information given to asylum seekers should be reviewed so that the law and expected behaviour on violence against women and girls are communicated more clearly.
So there we have it. Britain, a country that once exported railways, parliamentary government and aggressively beige sandwiches, has apparently reached the stage where newcomers may require a government briefing explaining one of civilisation’s less complicated rules:
Do not rape women.
📚 Welcome to Britain — Please Familiarise Yourself With Chapter One: Don’t Be a Sexual Predator
Imagine the meeting.
A conference room in Whitehall. Twelve civil servants. Fourteen laptops. Seventeen cups of ethically sourced coffee.
Someone clears their throat.
“Right, what essential information should we provide to people arriving in the country?”
“How to register with a doctor?”
“Useful.”
“How public transport works?”
“Excellent.”
“Emergency telephone numbers?”
“Very sensible.”
Then somebody at the end of the table raises a hand.
“Should we perhaps explain that sexually assaulting women is frowned upon?”
Silence.
Pens stop moving.
A senior official slowly removes their glasses.
“My God, Jenkins. Get that into the pamphlet.” 📖💡
And presumably this groundbreaking document will contain other revelations.
Page 1: Women are human beings.
Page 2: “No” does not require translation by the Home Office.
Page 3: Following women down dark streets is not an approved British leisure activity.
Page 4: Sexual violence is a crime, not a cultural misunderstanding.
Page 5: Please resist the urge to make the police explain Pages 1–4 personally. 🚔
You really have to admire the madness of modern government.
Rather than asking how Britain reached the point where officials believe such warnings need spelling out, we produce a leaflet.
Because nothing says robust border policy quite like handing somebody a pamphlet and hoping criminal behaviour immediately evaporates under the awesome power of Arial Bold.
The Government’s wider policy now says asylum support can be removed from asylum seekers who break the law, alongside other breaches of support conditions.
Which raises an obvious question:
Why stop at a pamphlet?
Perhaps Heathrow could install one of those enormous airport signs:
🚫 NO SMOKING
🚫 NO UNATTENDED BAGGAGE
🚫 NO SEXUAL ASSAULT
✅ PLEASE ENJOY YOUR STAY
Maybe Border Force could issue fridge magnets.
“Welcome to Britain! 🇬🇧 Remember: rape is illegal.”
Stick it beside the takeaway menu so nobody forgets.
Because apparently we have descended from Magna Carta to Magna Colouring Book.
The really extraordinary part is how spectacularly low the bar has become.
Nobody should need a special cultural seminar to understand that women are not property, prizes or opportunities.
Not British men.
Not foreign men.
Not asylum seekers.
Not princes, politicians, celebrities or somebody called Dave who has had six pints and suddenly considers himself irresistible.
Nobody.
And if someone commits sexual violence, the response should involve the criminal justice system — not another laminated leaflet with friendly illustrations and a QR code.

Here is the question Britain should be arguing about:
If the Home Office believes people arriving here genuinely need written instructions explaining laws against sexual violence, what does that say about our immigration system, screening, enforcement and confidence in applying the law?
Is a pamphlet serious policy — or another magnificent piece of Whitehall theatre designed to demonstrate that Something Is Being Done™? 🎭
