📢🤡“When fools speak louder than the wise” may be an old idea, but the modern version has had a software update.

These days, wisdom tends to arrive quietly, carrying evidence, context, and the deeply unfashionable phrase: “It’s complicated.”

Foolishness, meanwhile, bursts through the door wearing mirrored sunglasses, shouting “WAKE UP, SHEEPLE!” while livestreaming from a car park. 🚗📱

And somehow, guess which one the algorithm prefers?

🎤 Welcome to the Age of Maximum Volume, Minimum Thought

Once upon a time, if you knew absolutely nothing about a subject, there was a respectable social custom called keeping your mouth shut.

Beautiful concept. Tragically extinct.

Now, complete ignorance is merely the opening qualification for becoming an online authority.

Never studied economics? Start a channel explaining inflation.

Know nothing about medicine? Excellent — time to reveal what “doctors don’t want you to know.”

Read half a headline about artificial intelligence? Congratulations, Professor Terminator, your podcast starts Thursday. 🤖🎙️

The problem isn’t simply that fools speak.

Fools have always spoken.

The real innovation is that we’ve built gigantic technological machines specifically designed to hand them a microphone, measure how angry everybody becomes, and then turn the volume up.

Because wisdom has a terrible marketing department.

A thoughtful person says:

“There are several competing explanations, and we should examine the evidence.”

The internet yawns.

Then Gary from Accounts appears:

“IT’S ALL A MASSIVE CONSPIRACY.”

Three million views by lunchtime. 💥

Modern public debate increasingly resembles a pub argument where the microphone is awarded not to whoever knows the most, but whoever is prepared to shout “FACT!” immediately after saying something completely unverifiable.

Experts bring charts.

The loud bloke brings confidence.

Experts say, “The available evidence suggests…”

The loud bloke says, “Do your own research.”

Which normally means watching six videos filmed inside parked vans. 🚐

And certainty is intoxicating.

Wisdom is hesitant because wisdom understands how much there is to know.

Foolishness enjoys no such burden.

The fool has never encountered doubt because doubt requires thinking.

That’s why nonsense can sound so wonderfully decisive.

No caveats.

No footnotes.

No irritating facts wandering in halfway through and ruining a perfectly good rant.

Just pure, industrial-strength certainty.

Meanwhile, genuinely knowledgeable people are still clearing their throats and saying:

“Well, technically…”

Too late.

The fool already has merchandise. 👕💰

We have somehow mistaken confidence for intelligence, popularity for credibility, outrage for insight and repetition for truth.

Say something sensible once and perhaps somebody notices.

Say something ridiculous fifty times while pointing dramatically at captions and suddenly you’re a “thought leader.”

Apparently the thought is optional.

The leadership is mostly shouting.

Perhaps the real danger isn’t that fools have become louder.

It’s that modern culture has become very good at rewarding volume.

Attention is currency.

Rage generates attention.

Certainty generates rage.

And nuance is sitting in the corner wondering why nobody clicked its thumbnail.

🔥 Challenges

Here’s the uncomfortable question: when did we start trusting the loudest person instead of the person who actually knows what they’re talking about?

Who gets rewarded more today — the careful thinker or the confident loudmouth?

And have social media algorithms turned the village idiot into the village influencer? 📱🤡
