It comes from old — a warning!
As Sirius rose to burn in the summer sky and darkness crossed the Sun, people watched their rulers closely.
They believed such times brought war, failed harvests, unrest, and dangerous decisions from powerful men.
Some tried to dismiss all of it as superstition, but we knew the signs were there.
And perhaps rightly so.
So look around now.
Wars are burning again. Nations are rearming. Alliances are straining. Economies are drowning in debt. Governments are losing public trust as prisons empty. Technology is advancing faster than our ability to control it, and powerful men once again speak casually of weapons capable of destroying cities.
And now the Dog Days have returned.
Sirius is in the summer sky, and an eclipse approaches.
They will say it has nothing to do with it, but we know differently from the lies they spread and the way they try to silence those who know.
Our ancestors knew. They wrote about it and passed down stories — stories that cannot be forgotten.
When the same conditions return, expect the same mistakes.
The heavens may be warning us, but do we still have the ears to listen, as we stare into an altered reality held firmly in our hands?
